Welcome from the AIS Athletics and Activities Coordinator
And so…I heard the roar of the lion. It called to me from across the valley, invoking
honor, courage, and commitment. With great strength and pride, I entered the lion’s den.
My name is George Szatko III, and I am excited to be a Lion at the American International School.
In my time in Kuwait, I have been a teacher, a student success coordinator, an assistant principal, and a coach of multiple sports. In my new role, I will lead and grow our athletics and activities program, partnering with coaches, advisors, and families to support students beyond the classroom through competitive sports, clubs, and enriching activities.
The baseline foundations of our program are built on sportsmanship, TEAMwork,
personal development, and competitive opportunities for all. Beyond this, my personal
philosophy revolves around Relentlessness, Determination, and Focus, or RDF. You will see
these statements from me throughout the year, as we push to build synergy, camaraderie, unity, and faith as one Lion TEAM, regardless of age, gender, or activity.
As we enter the 2025-2026 school year, I challenge our community to make the most of
every opportunity that pops up throughout the year. Grade school is a fun and fleeting time in one’s life, and we here at AIS want you to enjoy every moment.
Let me hear them Lions roar…RDF
