In the Early Childhood division at the American International School of Kuwait, every child is known, valued, and inspired to learn. When children feel safe and know they belong, they develop the confidence to ask questions, share ideas, take risks, and discover their full potential.

As an IB World School, our Early Childhood programme combines the Primary Years Programme with a strong American curriculum. Through purposeful play, inquiry, and our transdisciplinary Units of Inquiry, children explore concepts across all subject areas while especially developing strong foundations in literacy, mathematics, and science. At the same time, they develop curiosity, creativity, confidence, and student agency as they learn to make choices, take ownership of their learning, and recognize that their voice matters.

Our commitment extends beyond academics. We believe children thrive when they are challenged and supported as individuals. Alongside engaging classroom experiences, students benefit from enriching activities, athletics, and a dedicated student support team that nurtures their academic, social, emotional, and personal growth while helping them develop the attributes of the IB Learner Profile.

One of the greatest strengths of our division is our people. Our teachers and support staff are passionate educators who create classrooms where children feel safe to explore, inquire, and grow. They celebrate every milestone, guide children through challenges, and build meaningful relationships that help every child feel seen, valued, and excited to come to school each day.

The confidence, independence, and love of learning developed in Early Childhood continues to shape students long after they leave our classrooms. Together with our families, we prepare children not only for the next grade level but for a lifetime of learning, growth, and positive contribution.
