Careers at AIS – An American International School in Kuwait
As a leading American school in Kuwait, AIS is committed to hiring highly qualified, experienced educators who bring passion, professionalism, and global perspectives to our community. Our teachers hold degrees from accredited North American universities and are licensed or certified through recognized teacher-training programs. While many of our educators come from North America, we proudly welcome teachers from around the world—including Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, England, France, Georgia, Jamaica, Kuwait, Lebanon, New Zealand, Serbia, South Africa, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. This diverse faculty enriches our environment as a truly international school in Kuwait.

A Supportive, Collaborative Teaching Culture
At AIS, teachers thrive in a culture built on collaboration, supportive instructional coaching, and professional trust. As an American curriculum school offering K-12 education, we value educators who serve as positive role models in classrooms that are rigorous, inclusive, and shaped by inquiry. Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds, and our teachers play a central role in nurturing curiosity, confidence, and academic excellence.

Professional Growth and Continuous Learning
We believe that great schools are built by great teachers. Professional development at AIS is continuous, personalised, and deeply embedded in our culture. Educators benefit from dedicated collaboration time, ongoing coaching, and access to digital learning platforms that challenge and inspire new thinking. Our work is guided by IB programmes, feedback from global accrediting bodies, and careful use of learning data—all helping us maintain our reputation as one of the best schools in Kuwait.

A Welcoming and Connected Staff Community
New teachers quickly discover the warmth and collegiality of our staff community. Professional dialogue, open communication, and shared purpose create trusting relationships that strengthen our school culture. We also encourage balance and well-being; AIS offers vibrant athletics and activities programs, alongside social gatherings that help teachers build meaningful friendships.
Many of our students attend top universities worldwide, and our staff members also pursue advanced degrees with the support of significant professional development funding. Each year, up to 15 educators receive a graduate degree grant—reflecting our commitment to investing in our team.
